Sweet Stamps #56 **Monochromatic**

We have a Monochromatic challenge this week at Sweet Stamps. I decided to challenge myself and use a color I do not normally go to- Yellow.........

I used the Harvest Gold Copic set to color in the Butterfly Fairy image. Of course, when coloring with Copics, I use Memento Ink-as it will not smear. I colored over the Copics with Smoosh Ink- Pumpkin and Moonlight. I outlined the image and the lines in the Fairy's wings with a Sakura Stardust Gelly Roll Pen for shimmer.

I stamped the image on Ivory cardstock that was cut out with a Cheery Lynn Sweedish Spring Oval die.  I sponged on Mustard ink and added gems that were crystal and were colored with Copic YR24. I also added the Fanciful Flourish die under the oval die. I added another die in the corners- Dancing Doily Lace border- I cut it apart and added it in the corners.  I love this die- it looks like 'tatted' edging to me.

The dotted DSP is from Bo Bunny Timepiece 6x6 pad. I did a border of machine stitching around the outside and distressed the edge- then sponged on a touch of Mustard ink.

I hope you will join the challenge at the Sweet Stamps blog- one randomly chosen Papercrafter will be chosen to win product from the Sweet Stamps Store. If you use a Sweet Stamps image, you will be eligible for two entries.  Please check the side bar of the blog for the rules.

Challenges:
Cheerful Stamp Pad- Land of Fantasy
Creative Mondays- Anything Goes
Love to Create- Monochromatic
Amusing Challenges- die cuts
Pile it on-Dots
Stampin' Sisters in Christ- Things with Wings
Flutterby Wednesdays- Open- include a winged item

Thanks for stopping by!
