Michael Strong Tag Blog Hop

Welcome to the Michael Strong Tag Blog Hop.We hope to give you some Holiday inspiration for the Season of 2011. 13 blogs have joined together to make sure you see lots of creativity with some of Michael Strong's favorite stamps.
Not only do you get lots of inspiration, but there is also a prize to win: Michael Strong stamps!
While you are hopping, you will also be collecting letters to make a sentiment- see details at the end of the post.
The Blog Hop starts at Hetty's Blog- you can return there at any time if the links fail to navigate around the hop.
While I do not have any Christmas or Holiday Michael Strong stamps, I took a fun Kimono stamp and made a tag in Christmas colors:

The Kimono stamp is embossed in Gold on cardstock that is shimmery red with a fabulous gold shimmer in it.
The Kimono is fabulous in sparkle.  I used Alcohol inks on glossy cardstock for the background. I added a backing of the red Rosso on the back. The gold metallic ribbon is paired with Seam Binding that is colored with Copic marker to match the green Alcohol ink in the background.

The next tag uses red Rosso again. I ran it through the Cuttlebug for texture for the top layer, which is raised up on dimensionals.  The lower layer is a shimmery Gold Sparkle cardstock and a red/black patterned DSP.  The Kimono die has a coordinating Iris Folding Template that I used to create the pattern you see. The sparkle is so intense I could not get a good photo- you will have to take my word for it. : )
I used Copic markers to color a thin Silk Ribbon for the tag and added a gold cording.

Trena's Blog is your next stop on the Blog Hop. But before you go, my Letter for you is H

Again, once you collect all 13 of the letter's on the hop and make a sentiment out of them, e-mail the sentiment to Hetty at buzzy4you at hotmail.com. On the 7th of December the prize winner will be announced on Hetty's blog.

Thanks for stopping by!

I love your sparkling kimono tag! The color combination is very festive. The kimono shape reminds me of the older pictures of Santa where he wears a robe instead of a suit (and I'll bet he would enjoy your kimono too).
