McMahon Five Designs New Releases

For the Bonibleaux Designs New Release Blog Hop click HERE

This weeks new releases at McMahon Five Designs are here!  I saw the Vintage Floral Ribbon image and immediately was inspired to get going on my parents 50th Wedding Anniversary album. Their Anniversary was in 2005.......!  Here is the page I created:
This is a 12x12 page. I love this picture of my parents wedding, especially seeing my parents and relatives in their younger years.  I used Groovy Guava and Soft Suede SU cardstock behind the photo. I printed the Floral Ribbon image on White and trimmed it, then on Vellum.  I colored the White card stock with Copic markers. I printed out a couple more of the image and trimmed out some of the flowers and butterflies and bees. I placed the cut out white image behind the Vellum, and then backed that panel with Soft Suede card stock.

I added some Groovy Guava ink to the Prima white roses and added a swirl of half pearls and hat pins to the ribbon.
Here is a close-up of the trimmed butterflies and the Kaiser flower I sponged ink onto- I added Creative Inspirations Paint in Fairy Dust for glimmer.  I added a 3/8" brown ribbon and some pretty Prima lace.
  There, page one...done......!

This is Sooo GORGEOUS Shelly!! I was so WOWed when I first saw it and wondered how you got the banner white... now I know! I thought maybe you printed it with the brown all around the image. Anyway, lots of work went into this and lots of LOVE too! It's so beautiful and I just love your color combo with the vintage photo. Nice job! =)

Oh Shelly!! That page is beautiful!! What a way to start the album for your parents. I can't imagine a 50 year anniversary, but it definitely warrants something special and you've certainly gotten special nailed. I hope you share more with us as you get the pages completed.

Gorgeous art. I love the vintage wedding picture. I can say that because it is just a tad earlier than my wedding. Wedding gowns back then were so elegant and feminine. Your art is wonderful.
