Digital D'Illusions Blog Hop for Firecracker Designs by Pamela

Pamela has taken the leap and added Digital Images to her line of Stamps at Firecracker Designs.  We are celebrating by making the theme of our March Blog hop Digital images.....and, along the way there will be CANDY!!!  Pamela will be giving away 5 Digital Images to one lucky winner that leaves a comment on each blog. The "Official" start time for the Blog Hop is Friday at 8AM, so if you arrive here early,  there may be some links that are not working quite yet.........
What do you think?  This digital image is printed on vellum and embossed with Ranger Queen's Gold Embossing Powder....yummy!  You need to rub an embossing buddy (anti-static) over the vellum then run it through the printer- pour embossing powder over it right away. I use a fine paintbrush to brush off the stray EP....... You can use an erasable ink pen to touch up areas that 'miss' embossing powder-if there are any- just draw over the area you want to emboss and sprinkle EP over it- fix up the little oops......
The outside edge is sewn with Metallic Sulky thread- the vellum is overlaid on Pale Plum CS. The butterflies are painted with Creative Inspirations Paint- it is very shimmery, you can paint over the embossing and it will not stick- so I did not even have to rub it off. The next layer is Gold Metallic CS, then distressed edge Pale Plum and Plum. The ribbon is 5/8" Metallic Gold.
Here is a close up of the same image printed on Georgia Pacific White CS.  I colored the butterflies with Copic Markers and highlighted parts of the butterflies with Shimmerz (FCD carries this-here is the link ). I highlighted the flourishes with the Sakura Gel Pen. CS used- Barely Banana, Pale Plum and Perfect Plum .
This is a circular Blog Hop, so you can just keep going in a circle until you arrive back here.  If you leave a comment at each blog, you will be entered to WIN 5 Digital Images from FCD.  Here is THE LINK to the Digital images Pamela currently has in the store.   The next stop on the Blog hop is TESA
*Saturday Update- Pamela has a free digital image available if you want to give Dig's a try!  Please link back to her post with a sample of your card- we'd love to see what you do with it!  Here is the link
Thanks so much for stopping by!

You girls are soooo clever! I never would have thought to emboss a digi! Makes perfect sense, because the ink want dry on the vellum!! I love it!
